Join the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center’s Secure Energy Future Center for an engaging Tech Talk exploring how the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science national laboratory, has become the nation’s premier nuclear physics lab and beyond. Learn how the new SURATech partnership is focused on delivering a thriving multi-program laboratory with world-leading scientific capabilities and User Facilities driven by excellence in Laboratory Operations that enables discoveries in three science pillars aligned with the lab’s core capabilities: Nuclear Physics, Data and Computational Science, and Energy and Applied Sciences.
Presented by Jens Dilling, Laboratory Director of the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, this session will also explore the updated 20-year vision for Jefferson Lab, including growing into a multi-purpose laboratory that works to expand partnerships with the scientific user community to support priorities for the Nation.
